Jules and Willi wanted to go and we chose Australia, specifically Sydney, Blue mountains, and Melbourne.
Cruising around the harbor
The Opera house where we would welcome 2012
Then we were off to the Blue Mountains, where we hiked and dined.
Christmas Dinner
And a Memorial to the convict slaves who built much of the roads, and rail, I like how the locals were just watching
Then it was off to Melbourne, my favorite part of the trip. The city and people were enjoyable and our hotel was the goods. If you find yourself in Melbourne, your highly advised to stay at the Langham.
Inside with the Christmas tree
And in the lobby
At the Cricket games, they had Gatorade bottles on segways
Off to the Yarro Valley to visit some vineyards and grab lunch
Back in Sydney, checking out the artwork?
On New Year’s Eve we went to the Opera house where they put on quite a show
The place had a small club like feel to it, not like the Met, more like the Blue Note or Birdland
And sadly our trip came to end, but fortunately we were headed home, back to the Islands
Here’s our last foto, we went out to the entrance to Sydney harbor
Thanks for checking in, see you on the trails Amigo’s
I put the pics and story on a Prezi, and here it is.
