Its time on the H2O

It was my 2nd furlough Friday and feeling content that I gave my students a challenging and intellectually stimulating assignment for the weekend, I packed up my OC-1 and headed to Ke’ehi Lagoon. Here’s El Grande Cherokee and the aforementioned OC-1.

I get out of the Lagoon and head towards Honolulu harbor where I turn around and catch the small trade wind driven bumps. The view…

Back when we had the KevFlyer, we had Wednesday night sailboat races around the lagoon, the finish was straight ahead, the winner got the cherished and much prized “Epoxy Coconut” (sorry no picture of the prize, I only held it for ever so brief a moment)

A truly enjoyable morning that brought back many memories from the daily chores of my past. I hope to get out on the water more, I just heard my school is having tryouts for the paddling team, so next week, I’ll volunteer to help out. We’ll see.
